No 'If only'; No "I wish".....

If only....
If I could ....
I wish I had .....

No 'I '; no 'if's'. It is happening !!!

We've talked about doing this trip for the last 4 years, and this time next week the Robinson family will be in New Zealand on our Rugby World Cup Sabbatical. We tried to encompass the Rugby World Cup in 1999 as part of our honeymoon, but it didn't work out. This time, though it's on !!

In Australia when you are a full time employee you acquire 'long service leave' on top of statutory leave. You are entitled to take your 'long service leave' after 10 yrs of service.
Both Sam and I being diligent loyal employees have accumulated long service leave and are calling it in to take the kids on an ultimate road trip of NZ encompassing all that inspires us. The finest of people, foods, beverages, locations and of course RUGBY.

This blog will detail some of the highlights of our travels as they happen over the next 2 months as we drop out of our regular careers and side projects to relax, recuperate, spend time exploring with Aidan & Abbey, my parents and journey through NZ with the multiple side distractions associated with the Rugby World Cup.

Going to NZ for the Rugby World Cup was always the master plan, but extended leave and the opportunity to turn off from our day jobs has become the initial early achievable goal.

So to get this started, here is a map of the locations of the games for the Rugby World Cup.

and here is a list of craft breweries and bars

That is quite an overlap. It must be fate.

We will be at 7 games and watching the remaining from wherever we are at whilst exploring NZ, relaxing and having lots of adventures.

Stay tuned.

PS: Go the ALL BLACKS !!
